Automation Engineer Wanted

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Tasks

As an Automation Engineer, your tasks may include:

  • Programming and configuring PLC and SCADA systems.
  • Designing and commissioning control systems for production lines or process plants.
  • Working with HMI design to create user-friendly interfaces.
  • Integrating robotic applications, sensors, and drive systems.
  • Performing troubleshooting, optimization, and testing (FAT/SAT) of automated systems.
  • Collaborating with electrical designers and mechanical engineers to ensure that solutions meet specified requirements.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO

  • Has a post-secondary education in Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Has experience programming in systems such as Siemens (TIA Portal), Beckhoff, ABB, or Rockwell.
  • Has an understanding of industrial communication (Profinet, EtherCAT, Modbus, etc.).
  • Can read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Is a natural problem solver who enjoys working both in development and in production/field.
  • Has good communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is a plus if you have

  • Experience in robot programming (e.g., ABB, Fanuc, or KUKA).
  • Knowledge of vision systems or industrial IT/OT security.
  • Experience in virtual commissioning or simulation.
  • Knowledge of machine safety and applicable standards.
